Ms. Annie Bowie was born July 22, 1932 to Holly and Rosie O’Neal in Vincent, AL. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Harpersville, AL. She later united with the Greenfield CME church family in Cropwell, AL. She served as a devoted choir member. She was educated in the Shelby County School System in Columbiana, AL. She went on to graduate from high school at St. Clair County Training School in Pell City, AL.
She was formerly employed as cleaning specialist in Birmingham, AL. After uniting in holy matrimony with William Bowie, she became an Interior Home Engineer with the family’s business “Bowie’s Junk Yard.”
Ms. Bowie departed this life on Nov 12, 2019, at the Coosa Valley Hospital, in Sylacauga, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Holly and Rosie O’Neal, A loving husband, William (Sonny Boy) Bowie, brothers: William, Lenzie, & Henry O’Neal and two sisters: Pearl Lane and Marties O’Neal.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: A devoted sister, Johnsie Brown; a very special friend, Ms. Emma Hagan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
