Anthony Todd Hammond was born on May 1, 1966 to J.T. Hammond, Jr. and Shirley (Street) Haynesworth in Gadsden, Alabama.
Todd received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Galilee Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. G.E. Robinson. He later became a member of the Worship Center Christian Church, Birmingham, under the leadership of Bishop Vanable H. Moody II, where he attended regularly until his health began to limit him.
He was educated in the Gadsden City School System, Okaloosa County School System in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and graduated in 1984 from Phillips High School in Birmingham City School System where he played football.
Todd was preceded in death by his father: J.T. Hammond, Jr.; sister: Anita (Hammond) Davis; grandmothers: Everee Street and Josephine Hammond; grandfathers: Amos Street, Sr. and J.T. Hammond, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory: devoted parents, Shirley and Andrew Haynesworth, Jr., Birmingham, AL; daughters: Maya Young and Ashley (Dennis) Emory, Jr., Birmingham, AL; grandchildren: McKenzie Young, Kyrie Jones, Kelsie Hammond, Kennedy Emory, and Dennis Emory, III; siblings: Antonio (Charlotte Renee) Hammond, Sr., Adreana Hammond, Andrew Haynesworth, III, and Felecia Haynesworth, Birmingham, AL.; brother-in-law: Terry Davis, Sr., Gadsden, AL; aunts: Bertha (Sammy) Collins, Gadsden, AL, and Gloria Street, Birmingham, AL; uncle: Amos (Sherri) Street, Jr., Clifton, VA; great-aunt: Annie Ruth McClain, Anniston, AL; great-uncle: Bob (Nancy) Street, Ashland, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
