Alisha Lanette Henderson was born June 11, 1973 in Detroit Michigan to the union of Willie Floyd Henderson and Eleanor Louise Cartwright-Henderson, of which she was the second child of two siblings. As a child, her favorite past time was taking care of small animals that inhabited their farm-like home in Riverside, AL. Growing up, Alisha attended First Baptist Riverside Church. She was also educated through the Pell City School System, where she excelled in many aspects of her education and successfully graduated Class of 91'. After High School, Alisha explored several events in life, which lead to her birthing a son in 1994, and soon turned her attention to a life in Christ.
Alisha confessed Christ in the following events of her life and stayed committed thereafter. Early in her walk with God, many were amazed at her display of determination in learning and living the true word of God. Her giftings included: singing, dancing, and music; even the secular world was trying to recruit her because of her passion. In 2001, she began attending City of Refuge Church in Talladega, AL. Whereas in 2004, she received a word for higher training under Apostle Anthony L. Grier, which led to her Apostolic Commission and pastoring.
In 2006, Apostle Alisha L. Henderson founded "A Higher Calling Miracle & Deliverance Kingdom Ministries International". She worked diligently in training others to walk in their calling and be who God called them to be. Apostle Henderson leaves behind ministry members: Apostle Deborah Whitson, La' Tonya Whitson, Kris Covington, Evangelist Ricky Lowe, Jalen McArthur, Irma Abbott, and her son Deondre Williams. Alisha prided herself in practicing what she preached and living a holy lifestyle. She was truly dedicated to the word of God and had a heart to help people and save souls. In her ministry travels, she also met and was acknowledged by many powerful leaders and fellow ministers.
Apostle Henderson was unfortunately diagnosed with kidney failure in 2013, which resulted in dialysis treatments for 8 years. Though she endured health complications, she pressed on to preach the word and set people free. Her motto was always about "Truth, and staying in the light". Eventually, her road of life ended with an internal condition which caused her to be in ICU for 2 weeks before her passing. Alisha was preceded in death by her father, Willie Floyd Henderson.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her son, Deondre "Gsa" Williams; her mother, Eleanor Louise Cartwright-Henderson; her brother, Corrie Henderson; her nephew, Corrie Malik Henderson; and a host of friends, family and spiritual sons and daughters across the world. Apostle Alisha Henderson's last wishes, were that everyone continue walking the path of righteousness and stay true to the call God placed on their lives, she leaves with her duties fulfilled.
