Bennie Ray Brand "B.B." was born on March 10, 1948 in Pell City, AL to Emmitt Brand and Annie Bell Rogers Brand.
Bennie was a member of Rocky Zion Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated from St. Clair County Training School in 1966. He worked at Avendale Mills for two years before joining the United States Army in 1968, in which he was honorably discharged three years later. He started working for the Anniston Army Depot in 1971 until his retirement.
Bennie also enjoyed doing landscaping after his retirement, in the Pell City and Cropwell area. He was known to have a "Green Thumb", and he loved his many flowers and landscaping.
