Celia Annette Whisenant was born on September 23, 1958, to the late James Whisenant and Catherine Thomas. She was one of ten siblings.
At an early age she confessed the beliefs and teachings of Jesus Christ and joined Evergreen Baptist Church, Whitney, Alabama.
She was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the age of sixty-six. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Linda Jones, Brenda Montgomery, and Diane Jones.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, a husband, Willie Sanders, Springville; four children, Johnathan Whisenant, Ashville, Gabriel (Richard) Whisenant, Birmingham, Corey Whisenant, Springville, Latasha (Gavin) Whisenant, Odenville; four grandchildren, Braxton Ragland, Bailey Hall, Jamarcus Hardy, Jaden Hall; six sisters, Mary (Jimmy) Greer, Springville, Deborah Kyle, Alfreda Byers, Riverside, Calif., Rita Turner, Angela Davis, Sylvia (JW) Morgan, Montgomery; three brothers-in-law, Kenny Sanders, Norman Sanders, both of Springville, and James Sanders, Birmingham; one sister-in-law, Rebecca (Tarus) Coleman, Springville; special niece, Mary (Bam) Greer; two special great nieces, Kira Jackson and Peyton Purifoy; two special friends, Theresa Richardson and Joanne Vandergrift; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
