Diane Henry Woody was born on April 26, 1951 to the late Eulice and Thelma Henry in Oneonta, Alabama. She was six of seven daughters, three of whom preceded her in death; Belva Hill, Billie Faye Graham, and Rosezeta Warren. Early in her life, she confessed her belief in Jesus Christ and love for her Savior. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Oneonta, Alabama and in later years, she moved her membership to Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Springville, Alabama, where she resided. She was the first black woman to graduate from Springville High School in Springville, Alabama. She later retired from Wrangler in Oneonta, Alabama.
On August 30, 2023, Diane transitioned from discomforts, pain, and labors of this world to be at rest with the Lord.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her husband, Bob G. Woody, Jr.; two sons, Maurice (Lisa) G. Woody, Sr. and Roderick L. Woody; three grandchildren, Maurice G. Woody, Jr., Katelynn Renee Woody, and Tamia Renee Woody; one aunt, Betty (Harvey) Kyle; one uncle, James (Daisy) Singletery; three sisters, Juanita Polk, Nina Faye (David) Thompson, and Donna Henry; two sister-in-laws, Rebecca (Joe Lee) Bothwell, Jr. and Regina (Ronnie) Cook; two goddaughters, Amber (Thomas) and Sloane Mostello; two godsons, Lewis and Brandon Harris; special friends, Robert and Diane Harris; she also leaves to cherish her loving memories to a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
