Mr. E. T. Johnson was born February 19, 1951 to Troy and Mattie Johnson in Pell City, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Earnest and Stella Johnson, and John and Eliza Threatt; his wife, Wardean W. Johnson; and his brother, John L. Johnson.
E. T. was a member of First Baptist Church of Cropwell. He graduated from Pell City High School in 1972. He began his work history at Stockham Valve Assembly in Birmingham, AL where he was the "go to" man on the line. At the work site, E. T. was the expert in the valve repair and assembly department. He also traveled nationwide for the company until it closed. He was then employed at Talladega Refractory until his retirement.
E.T. was an avid fisherman and gardener. He would give fresh fruits and vegetables to many people in the neighborhood, especially the elderly and widows. He was a member of the Air National Guard, Special Forces, as a paratrooper and American sniper.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Belisa Fomby and Tervia M. Wade, both of Pell City, AL; son/grandson, Michael R. Sanders; two grand-daughters, Rynisha Fomby and Jasmine D. Cheeseboro; three sisters, Martha (Henry) Pryor of Pell City, AL, Jimmy Lou (Elton) Fomby, and Rose Johnson of Lincoln, AL; raised as a sister and a father, Pearlie Roberson and Bobby R. (Peggy) Threatt; aunt, Rebecca J. Threatt; special friends, Jerome Green, "BaBa" Love, Joseph Henderson, Eddie Montgomery; special mention, Margarett Swain; and there is no one like Kecia (Kenny) Lowe; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.
