Eleanor Louise Cartwright Henderson was born January 11, 1953 to the parents of Mattie Cartwright Hurts and Bill Cartwright. She was born the first of two children. They both were born, raised, and educated in Cleveland, Ohio. At an early age, she confessed Christ as her Savior.
Following High School, she met and married her matrimonial sweetheart, Willie Floyd Henderson (deceased) who was originally from here in the south, Riverside, AL. To that union, two children were born; a son, Corrie Lamont Henderson, and a daughter, Alisha Lannette Henderson (deceased). By and by, they all returned to their hometown. Upon their arrival here in Alabama, she immediately joined First Baptist Church in Riverside, AL.
Louise was a very ambitious young lady in her early days. She learned many domestic skills from her mother-in-law to make a perfect home such as sewing, knitting, quilting, canning, and even fishing. Even outside of her home, she tried her hand at many different types of adventures. She started her very own cleaning business where she cleaned, buffed, and shined floors. She opened her very own boutique shop with the latest women's apparel and later opened a department store in a mobile unit. Shortly after, she was finally able to open the doors in a downtown department store. She even ventured to organize a vocal group singing modern gospel songs of which she composed the lyrics.
She loved new, pretty things especially flowers, which was indicative of the stylish way she dressed and the beautiful furniture and floral arrangements in her home. She believed in trying new things and continued that trait until her health started to fail her.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie and Bill Cartwright; her husband, Willie Floyd Henderson; her daughter, Alisha Lannette Henderson; her sister, Yvonne Cartwright; and her special nephew, Courtney Henderson.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her only son, Corrie Lamont Henderson; her special daughter, Neffiteria (Rod) Henderson; her two grandsons, Deondre Shaquille Williams and Corry Malik "Whodie" Henderson; her four brothers-in-law, Earnest Henderson, Joseph (Clementine) Henderson, Jeffery (Carol Dean) Henderson, and Shawndal (Barbara) Henderson; her two sisters-in-law, Elsie (James) Henderson McGowan, and Christine Henderson Johnson; a special aunt, Callie Harris; a special friend, Veronica Downer; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
