Miss Helen Mosley was born July 4,1945 to the late Callie Lucky and John Underwood Sr. in Marion, AL. She departed her life on June 26, 2020 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
She moved to Chicago at an early age where she attended the Chicago School System and graduated from Harrison High School in 1962. She was employed by Spiegel Clothing Company for three years. In 1970, she united in holy matrimony to Curtis Mosley, Sr. and moved to Gadsden, AL where she was employed at Baptist Memorial Hospital for three years until she got hired at Gulf State Steel in 1976. She stayed there for twenty-four years until it closed, in which she then went on to attend Gadsden State Community College from 2001 to 2003.
Helen Mosley enjoyed spending every moment with her family and friends; she had a genuine heart of gold.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her children, Darnella (Jackie) Morgan, Curtis Mosley, Jr.; four loving grandchildren who she loved dearly, Kristal, Jasmine, Kiara, and Destiny; two great-grandchildren, Ja’Torian C James & Jaiceona A. Mosley; three brothers who preceded her in death, John Underwood Jr., Chicago IL, Robert (Mattie) Underwood, Chicago IL, and William Lottie Underwood, New Jersey; four sisters, Marie (Tiny) Wilkerson, Chicago IL, whom preceded her in death, Walter Mae (Excell) Ellis, Chicago IL, Mattie Bell (John) Smith, Cleveland Ohio, Pauline (Lee James II) Mosley, Chicago IL; very special friends, Virgina Scott, Alfreda & Jo Willingham, Stanley Ruston, Charlie Lapsley, and Greg Hughley; a host of sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family & friends.
