Jacquelyn D. Lindsey-Baker was born on October 10, 1969 to the late Mr. Restee and Mrs. Dorothy D. Lindsey in Gadsden, AL. On Sunday evening, July 25, 2021 God saw she needed rest and called her home.
“Jacq” as she was affectionally known accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and united with the Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend F.L. Huff. She was reared in Gadsden and educated in the Gadsden Public School System. She is a graduate of Gadsden High School, attended Alabama State University, and transitioned to Jacksonville State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business. She met the love of her life Mr. Bobby L. Baker in 1983 and the love began to flourish in 1985. Their love has continued to last for 38 years.
She was preceded in death by her loving father Restee Lindsey and mother Dorothy Lindsey, beloved siblings Restee Lindsey Jr., Dale Lindsey, Denise Lindsey Gray (Ernest), Grandparents Mr. Jack (Alice) Dismuke, and Mr. William (Lula) Lindsey.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, Bobby L. Baker (The love of her life) and Breanna Lindsey (Her heart); Siblings, Cheryl (Benji) Stewart, Linda and Earnestine Lindsey, David (Daphne) Lindsey; Nieces, Erica (Perry) Williams, Ava and Aleyah Lindsey; Nephews, Daryl Collins Jr., Keno Jackson, Demetric, Dazun, Raekwon Bufford Lindsey, Blair, Casey, Kaison, and Cartier Baker; Father-in-Law, Bobby Baker Sr. (Gloria); Mother-in-Law: Mary Jean Roden; Sisters-in-Law, Angie, Cheryl and Brittany Baker; Brother-in-Law, Dejaun Baker (Tiffany); Two special aunts, Dorothy Lindsey and Clara Hoyt; Special cousins, Aljeruah Robinson and Cord Lindsey; and host of cousins and many dear friends.
