James Sanders Obituary

James Roy Sanders was called home on Thursday evening on February 23, 2023. James, the son of the late John and Lorine Sanders, was born on September 6, 1968 in Gadsden, AL. He confessed his faith in Christ at an early age.

James is predeceased in death by his brother John Sanders, his sister Tammy Vinson, his cousins Donald “Smokey” Vinson and Constance Vinson.

James lived majority of his life in Gadsden, AL. He graduated from Gadsden High School in May of 1988, where he enlisted and dedicated his life to the United States Army. After retirement, he settled down and helped raised his neices and nephews.

He leaves to cherish his memory: uncle, Carl Vinson, Ohio; brothers, Tim Era Vinson, Bobby (Alicia) Sanders, Ricky Bernard Sanders, and Johnathan Sanders, all from Gadsden, AL; sister, Joyce Elaine Sanders; nieces, Quinicia Martin, D’andrea Martin, Alicia Sanders, and Maliqua Crittenden; nephew, Joseph (Brandi) Sanders; great nieces and nephews, Jameria Sanders, Alexis Guinn, Ma’Khia Guinn, Janiyah Guinn, Xavier Guinn, Zamarcus Collins, Brayden Wiley, Jayden Wiley, and Bailee Cross; special cousin, Shelia (Michael) Middleton; special friend, Hazel Ross; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
