Johnny C Singleton

Johnny C. Singleton was born, January 29, 1940 in Piney Woods, AL to the late Robie and Eliza Singleton. He joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age.

Mr. Singleton worked at General Electric in Schenectady, NY until he retired in 1988 and moved back home.  He was married to the late Dorothy Dean Singleton until he moved back to Alabama. Johnny was known as the neighborhood mechanic until his health began to fail. He departed this life on August 03, 2020.

Mr. Singleton leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Mrs. Gwendolyn (Vincent) Singleton-Owens of Gienville, NY; one son, Leon Graves of Schenectady, NY; one sister, Mrs. Helen Ogletree of Leeds, AL; two brothers, Robert (Freddie Mae) Singleton of Albany, NY and William (Linda) Singleton of Moody, AL; four grandchildren, Jahi Owens, Jameelah Owens, Jaleah Owens, and Jamal Owens; two special friends, Ms. Willona Carter and Mr. Leonard Brock of the Piney Woods; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
