Josephine Moore

Josephine W. Moore was born on June 9th, 1943 to the late Raymond and Ruby Williamson.

She was called home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2023 .

Josephine joined church at an early age. She was a member of Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church in Riverside. She later joined Grace Covenant Worship Center in Birmingham, under the leadership of Dr. Micheal Frazier.

Josephine attended St. Clair Training School. She worked at The Village at Cook Springs Nursing Home for 42 years as a laundry assistant. She had a quiet and humble spirit and she helped anyone who needed her help. She always gave to her family, as well as her friends.

Her honesty was inspiring. Her willingness to give to others was  boundless, and her dedication and loyalty to her Family was given without limits.

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ruby Williamson; her husband, Willie Moore; brothers,  Henry Lewis Williamson, Author Lewerence Williamson, and Nathan Williamson; and her sister, Diana Hilliard.

Her memories will live on through her sons, Marvin Ware and Steven Ware; her daughter, Cassandra Ware; grandchildren, San’Nisha Embry, Kiyanna Ware, Cameron Beavers, Kiara Ware, and Diamond Constance; great grandchildren, Z’Niyah Swain, Ze’Noviah Swain, Aria, and Rea Hobgson; and a host of other family members and friends.

Mom, you will truly be missed by all who work with you, those who attended worship with you, and those who loved you. Rest well, for you have truly earned it. We pray that your life lessons, your work ethics, your dedication, as well as your loyalty continue to inspire and uplift those future generations. We the Family, Love You.
