Lakevia Carmichael

Lakevia “ Heavy D “ Carmichael was born on August 23, 1992 to Penelope Jones and Kevin Carmichael. 

He peacefully transitioned at his home on Sunday June 7, 2026.

He is proceeded in death by his grandparents. Mary green, Cecil Cunningham, Hazel Carmichael, and Fred Carmichael.

Lakevia later accepted Christ at Living In The Word Ministry. 

He attended TC High School through the 12th grade and later began working in various industrial jobs.

Lakevia “ Heavy D “ Carmichael was a loving son, brother, father and cousin, whose kindness, larger-than-life personality touched many lives. He had a unique gift for bringing laughter and light wherever he went. There was never a dull moment with him.

He leaves to cherish a loving mother, Penelope (Johnny) Jones of Lincoln Al; father, Kevin Carmichael of Anniston Al; his only son, Tyshaun Carmichael of Pell City Al; three sisters, Tamiko (Robert) Ware of Anniston Al, Tamala Bedford of Pell City Al,  and Ra’Nyah Sanders of Lincoln Al; one brother, Ra’Shaun Sanders of Lincoln Al; three nieces, Kamill Patterson, Ta’Zariah Bush, and Makayla Patterson; two nephews, Markise Bedford and Tervarris Bush Jr; four aunties, Chichita Carmichael, Patrice Carmichael, Gigi Carmichael, and Renee Wade; three uncles, Willie Carter, James, and Duncan Carmichael, all of Riverside Al; god-sister, Chantil Bush of Pell City Al; special niece, Kalaiah Foster; special nephew, Kayden Patterson; special friend, Lela English; special brothers, Arjvair Threatt, Quanata Turner, Devaris Bush and Cody Moore.
