Luther Ward Embry II was born July 13, 1955 to the late Mr. Paul Edward Embry and Mrs. Mary Lee Embry in Ragland, Alabama. At an early age, he confessed his life to Christ at Bible Way Church COOLJC. He later joined First Baptist, Riverside, under the leadership of Pastor Bedford until the day of his passing.

Luther also played on two softball teams, The New Town Community team and The Shaddix Pulpwood team. This is where he earned the nicknames “BigFoot” and “Indian”. He later worked for the Heavy Duty Electrical Company in Pell City, Alabama.
Luther loved to cook and go fishing. He loved to fry fish. He loved to see people smiling. Luther would take care of everyone, especially his family. There was never a day he wasn’t smiling as well as making others smile too.
