Mr. Melvin Richardson was born in Whitney, Alabama on February 23, 1940 to the late Shade and Wilma Richardson.
Mr. Richardson was baptized at Greater Grace Church under the leadership of Bishop Terry Jones. He later joined Antioch Ministries under the leadership of his beloved son Elder Michael Richardson.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Lillie Ruth Blount of Ashville, Alabama in 1960. He departed his life on 01/25/2021. Mr. Richardson was proceeded in death by his mother, Wilma Richardson; father, Shade Richardson; brothers, Mr. Scott Richardson, Mr. Robert Richardson, Mr. Harry Richardson, Mr. William Lewis Richardson; sisters, Ms. Elizabeth Coats, Ms. Patsy Hodo; son, Melvin Richardson Jr; one granddaughter, Ms. Melanie Richardson; and one son-in-law, Mr. John Brewster, Jr.
Mr. Richardson is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mother Lillie Ruth Richardson, Ashville, Alabama; two sons, Timothy Richardson, and Michael (Reydonya) Richardson, both of Ashville, Alabama; three daughters, Jeannie (Calvin) Scott, Lithonia, Georgia, Melissa (Wesley) Williams, McCalla, Alabama, and Tamicka Brewster, Ragland, Alabama; one brother, Larry Richardson, Mableton, Georgia, two sisters, Ms. Hazel Whitehead, Atlanta, Georgia, and Ms. Dorothy Evans, Atlanta, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Eloise Williams, 2 brother-in-laws, Terry Blount and Arthur Hammonds; ten grandchildren, Michael Shannon Richardson, Courtland R Williams, Nicholas Richardson, Devane Brewster, Jaylen Brewster, Jacob Brewster, Jakolbe
Brewster, Ethan Richardson, Faith Elizabeth Scott, and Nathan Richardson; special cousin, Henry Blount; special nephew, Billy Coats; special friend, Tommy Bothwell;
five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
