Mitchell Lee Beavers was born February 10, 1946 in Pell City, Alabama to the late Leroy Beavers and Lucille Bush Beavers. Mitchell accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Rocky Zion Baptist Church in Pell City, AL.
In 1963, Mitchell moved to New York. He was employed by Top Job Personnel in Manhattan, New York as a supervisor. He also owned Mitchell's Limousine Service. In 1967, he met the love of his life, Gerline Jefferson Beavers aka "Baby Lou". After a nine year courtship they traveled to his hometown of Pell City, AL where they were united in Holy Matrimony on July 10, 1976.
Mitchell retired in 2006 and returned back to his hometown in 2014. He had a love of fishing, rabbit hunting, playing cards with his family and friends, and a love of music, dancing, and cooking. He also had a great love for Rocky Zion Baptist Church, where he attended until his illness.
On Friday, December 2, 2022 Mitchell transcended to his heavenly home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gerline Beavers; Parents, Leroy and Lucille Beavers; Son, Donald Deloatch; Brothers, Willie Beavers, Leroy Beavers, Cecil Beavers, Anthony Beavers, M.C. McCoy, Karl Nobles, Henry McCoy; Sisters, Teresa B. Garrett, Willa Nance, and Della McCoy.
He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and loving son, Greg (Lane) Moss of Pell City, AL; Seven Grandchildren, Candice (Eric) Verges, Pell City, AL, Lauren Moss, Pell City, AL, Stefan (Nicole) McGraw, Phenix City, AL, Stephen McGraw, North Carolina, Danielle Deloatch, Florida, Jonas Markeet Deloatch; North Carolina, Donnie Jakwan Martin, North Carolina;
Seven great-grandchildren; Two brothers, Lavern (Amelia) Beavers, and Mark V. Beavers both of Pell City, AL; Sisters, Gertrude (Stanley) Woods, Anniston, AL and Enetta Cosper; Brothers in law, James (Sony) Jefferson and Alfonzer Jefferson, Potecasi, NC; Six sisters in law, Vivian B. Beavers, Pell City, AL, Evelyn Brewster, Mount Vernon, NY, Mary Lassitre, Annie Taylor, Potecasi, NC, Evangelline "Tina" Jefferson, Upper Marlboro, MD, and Diane J. Ray, Woodlawn, NC; A host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends; and a special friend Jimmy Ray. Also, a very special Thank you to Jameria and Christine from Lakeside Hospice.
