Mr. Neval Dexter Hoskins, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, transitioned peacefully from this life on November 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of family and those whose lives he touched. He was a man known for his wisdom, steady spirit, and the quiet strength that left an unforgettable imprint on everyone blessed to know him.
Born on September 15, 1957, Neval grew into a man defined by integrity, hard work, and unwavering devotion to his family. He carried himself with a calm, humble confidence, never demanding attention, yet always commanding respect. Whether through a warm smile, a thoughtful word, or a helping hand, he had a way of making people feel seen, supported, and safe in his presence. He believed deeply in showing up for others, whether offering guidance, sharing encouragement, or simply being present. His kindness was consistent, his loyalty unshakable, and his wisdom often sought after. Those who knew him best admired his gentle heart, sharp mind, and the quiet generosity that reflected the depth of his character.
Neval graduated from Southwest High School in Macon, Georgia; and continued his education at Fort Valley State College. After matriculating in college, he decided to join the United States Marine Corps, where he loved serving his country and traveled throughout the world, where he especially enjoyed Japan and Australia. After his Honorable Discharge from the Marines, he began working with the Federal Department of Corrections, where he was ranked as a Lieutenant.
Neval was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Luvernis Losey Hoskins, who loved him and all their children dearly; and his daughter Bambi who transitioned at an early age.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. Though his physical presence will be missed, his lessons, laughter, and impact remain forever woven into the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will continue to live on through the stories shared, the values he instilled, and the love he poured into his family.
