Ray T Lindsey, Sr.

Mr. Ray Thomas Lindsey Sr., was born October 10, 1936 in Turkeytown, Alabama. He was the youngest of thirteen children born to Mr. and Mrs. William and Lula Lindsey. He received his education from the Gadsden City School District.

On July 16, 1973, Ray Thomas Sr. was united in holy matrimony to Margie Ruth Ray.  Ray drove semi trucks across the country for over 40 years.  Once he retired, he enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, Braves baseball, and sitting on the porch enjoying time with the fellas.

Ray Thomas Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Lula Lindsey; his loving wife, Margie Lindsey; brothers, Hubert, Peter, Robert, William Jr., Edward, Reste, Oliver, James, and R.C. Lindsey; sisters, Bertha, Earnestine, Covia, Mary; sons, Michael Veasy and Gregory Lindsey.  He was called Home to be with his Heavenly father on June 25, 2021 while at home under the care of his daughter and granddaughter, Kimberly and Zakiah.

Celebrating the life and precious memories of Ray Thomas Sr., are Daughters; Cathy, Jatheia, Trina, Rochelle, Victoria, Kimberly; Sons: Anthony Sr., Ray Thomas Jr. (Patsy), Steven, Jarrin (Shuntae), Kevin (Leanne); Granddaughters: Shanterria (Stefanie), Ashanta, Andrea, Chassidy (Lisa), Bionca, Samone, Janique, Jireh, Jada, Jalesa, Kaniya, Zakiah, Janiyah; Grandsons: Tiyeast, Anthony Jr., Me’Keal, Antwon, Steven, Shawn, AndreH., Dominque (Shamiyha), Deonte’, Jermaine Jr., Andre T.; Mother-in-law: Vernia Ray; Sister-in-laws: Minnie Pace (Edward), Maelean Wise, Dorothy Lindsey; Brother-in-laws: Willie Frank Ray Jr. and Ricky Ray, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
