Shelia Middleton

Shelia Gail “Neak” Vinson Middleton was born to the late Florine Jones and Frank Ellis on August 11, 1961 in Gadsden, AL. At an early age, she accepted Christ. Her education came from the Gadsden City School System.

She later united in marriage to Michael Todd Middleton on January 21, 2005. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Shelia transitioned from Earth to Heaven on February 8, 2024 at her home with her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Florine Jones and Frank Ellis; stepfather, Henry Jones; brother, Donald Vinson; sister, Linda Faye Vinson; grandson, Briantez Vinson; cousins, Connie Vinson, Tammy Martin, Elaine Sanders, and Jamie Sanders; and best friend, Priscilla Martin Kyle.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted husband, Michael Todd Middleton, Gadsden, AL; sons, Brian (Tiffany) Vinson, Antonio (Javetta) Ray, Jamard (Melonie) Vinson, Brandon Vinson, and Lamard Taylor, all of Gadsden, AL; daughters, Sheilisa (Brandon) Vinson and LaKendra (DeAndre) Goggins, both of Gadsden, AL; brothers, Henry Earl (Azette) Jones, St. Louis, MO and Michael Brookins, Athens, GA; uncle, Carl Vinson, Dayton, OH; nephews, Marlon Harris and Dee Brookins; niece, Whitney Brookins; bonus daughters, Matasha (Zay) Heard, Demika (Travette) Keith, Zenobia White, all of Gadsden, AL; bonus son, Marquis Middleton, of Gadsden, AL; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Vinson and Millicent (Roy) Douglas, both of Gadsden, AL; special sons, Joseph (Brandi) Sanders and Barry Byers, Jr.; special cousin, Cathy Vinson; special friends, Phyllis Graham, Cathy Williams, Cassandra Turner, and Darlene Mathis; twenty-five grandchildren, and a host of cousins, other family and friends.
